With people wanting to look good in today's society, unwanted hair is coming off. With everyone going to the beaches, people are turning to laser hair removal. Miami is an example of a place where people want this done. Laser hair removal in Florida is becoming very popular. Laser technology is the latest advancement in hair removal techniques. The laser techniques are improving quickly in this new field. After a brief explanation of other hair removal procedures, let's look at why laser hair removal is becoming popular. There are three main methods other than laser to remove unwanted hair. These are, physical removal, chemical removal, and electrolysis. We will give a brief explanation of each. There are three physical methods, shaving, plucking, and waxing. Shaving is a repetitive, never ending process that we all are very familiar with. Plucking is more aggressive and used on individual hairs. In both cases hairs always return, often thicker and darker. Third is waxing. This is like group plucking. It is painful, and can irritate the skin. This might last longer, around a month in some cases, but must always be repeated. The chemical solution is products like Nair. These products can irritate the skin. They last longer than shaving but still need to be done regularly. This type of product is used mostly on women's legs. Electrolysis is a much more permanent solution. Here an electric pulse is sent down an individual hair. With repeated (quite a few over many months) treatments this will kill the hair completely. This is the only truly proven permanent hair removal method. Electrolysis is expensive, time consuming, often quite painful, and can only be done on small areas at a time. This is why people are turning to the laser. The laser provides the following advantages over electrolysis. Although not pain free, much less irritating to the skin. The laser is a much faster procedure, you can do a small area in under ten minutes. Large areas of the body can be done with the laser, unlike electrolysis. You can have your entire back done in less than one hour, for example. Laser hair removal takes fewer visits to get the desired results. The combination of being able to do large areas of the body, short sessions, and great results, have people turning to the laser removing unwanted hair. There are still some instances where electrolysis is a good solution (an example is that you can't use the laser around the eyes), but in most cases people are finding the laser is the way to go.
